Biography

1907-1940

Born in St. Louis Missouri in 1907, Charles Eames had a grand sense of curiosity and adventure for architectrue and design. He began his studies of architecture at Washington University, while there Eames accepted a fellowship from Eliel Saarinen to work at Cranbrook Academy of Art. After only one short year Charles became an instructor at Cranbrook, as well as offered a position working for Saarinen's private practice.
